Registration Deadline Approaching For Summer Football Camps

STARKVILLE - June will be a busy month for the Mississippi State football program, with EIGHT different camps, and there's still time for you or someone you know to be a part of it. Registration forms, camp schedules and additional information can be found online here.
Head football coach Dan Mullen and the entire Bulldog coaching staff will conduct the camps, which begin with the always popular Ladies Football Clinic on Saturday, June 5. The day-long program will include on-field coaching, gameday experiences, chalk-talk sessions and question-and-answer periods with the staff and their wives.
From Sunday, June 13 through Tuesday, June 15, the football program will conduct its individual camps, focusing on specific position groups for ages 13 through those entering their senior year of high school. Rates are available for day campers and overnight campers, and discounts are available for team participation (10 or more players).
The Dan Mullen "Top Gun" Quarterback camp will give attendees lessons in mechanics of throwing and footwork, reading defenses as well as the competitive edge it takes to be a successful quarterback.
The Skill Position Camp (wide receivers, running backs, defensive backs, linebackers and tight ends) will consist of individual drills instructed by the Bulldog coaching staff, as well as one-on-one competition. Each position will work on fundamentals individually and as a group. Players will have the opportunity to learn the same skills that Mississippi State players are taught.
The Trench Warfare Camp for offensive and defensive linemen will be a working camp, specifically designed to improve all players' games along the front lines.
The Specialty Camp for kickers, punters and snappers will be held Thursday and Friday, June 17-18 and will provide expert coaching from the staff and guest lecturers. The camp will cover basic fundamentals and individual technique for both beginners and experienced players.
The Junior Dawg Camp for kids ages 5 to 12 will be held the 17th and 18th as well, and will provide all young Bulldogs the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of football from Coach Dan Mullen and the Bulldog staff. Campers will learn the proper way to run, throw, catch, block, tackle and kick.
Bracketing the individual camps will be a pair of Bulldog Shootout 7-on-7 camps for high school teams. High school coaches should contact the football office for more information about enrolling their team in one of the best competitions in the Southeast.
