Tickets Available For Monday's Ferriss Trophy Presentation
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Tickets are on sale through the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum for Monday's presentation of the Cellular South Ferriss Trophy in Cleveland, Miss. Mississippi State senior first baseman Connor Powers is one of three finalists for the award, which honors the state's top collegiate baseball player.
Fans can purchase tickets ($75 adults/$25 students) by phone through the museum (1-800-280-3263), and those tickets will be held for pickup at the door prior to the evening's events at the Bologna Performing Arts Center on the Delta State University campus. A pre-ceremony reception is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., followed by the awards presentation at 6:30 p.m.
Former Bulldogs Thomas Berkery (2006) and Edward Easley (2007) are previous recipients of the award, which is named for former Delta State University head baseball coach and Boston Red Sox and Mississippi State pitching standout David "Boo" Ferriss.
