Mullen Paired With Funk, Brando At Regions Classic

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State head football coach Dan Mullen will hit the links on Thursday at Ross Bridge in Hoover, Ala., as he tees off in the Regions Charity Classic CGI Pro-Am. Mullen is paired with Fred Funk,Tim Brando and Calvin Wilburn, as the team of four will tee off at 8:30 a.m. (CT).
Funk, who served as the University of Maryland golf coach from 1982-88, has posted 13 career victories on the PGA and Champions Tour. He won the U.S. Senior Open last year, and last weekend fired a 66 on Saturday at The Players Championship.
Brando is a veteran sportscaster that has worked with CBS and ESPN and currently hosts a daily show on Sporting News Radio.
Wilburn is a part of the Rick and Bubba Radio Show.
Mullen is making his first appearance at the Regions Charity Classic. Other celebrities playing include Wimp Sanderson, Jimbo Fisher, Nick Saban, Charles Barkley and Bo Jackson.
