MSU Men's Track Team Falls To No. 12 In National Rankings

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Even after winning two Championship of America relay titles this past weekend at the Penn Relays, the Mississippi State men's track team fell to No. 12 in the USTFCCCA poll as only 2010 marks were used for the first time this season.
Texas A&M moved to the No. 1 spot, followed by LSU and Florida at No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.
Senior Dwight Mullings was the only Bulldog to hold Top 10 rankings in two individual events, with a No. 5 ranking in the 400-meter dash and No. 7 ranking in the 200-meter dash.
Freshman Tavaris Tate held his No. 2 ranking in the 400-meter dash, while Emanuel Mayers moved to No. 4 in the 400-meter hurdles.
Both Bulldog relays remained in the Top 10 in the country as the 4x400 is No. 6 and 4x100 is No. 7.
MSU continues its outdoor campaign this weekend with relays competing at the Jesse Owens Track Classic in Columbus, Ohio and the rest of the team at the Mississippi Open in Oxford.
