Draft Complete, Teams Set For Maroon-White Game

STARKVILLE, Miss. - When it came to drafting the teams for the Maroon-White Spring Game, guest coaches Brad Bradway and Steve Brandon were as prepared as they could possibly be. Both attended practices Tuesday and Thursday, scribbling notes as they tried to determine players to draft.
The selection began with picking coaches and support staff - including operations, equipment, trainers and office staff. After staffs were determined, the respective brain trusts had 15 minutes to prepare for their drafts.
The Maroon staff focused on the up-front guys, selecting offensive linemen J.C. Brignone, Derek Sherrod, Quentin Saulsberry and defensive lineman Pernell McPhee. The White team worked on speed, picking wideouts Chad Bumphis and Leon Berry, linebacker K.J. Wright and running back LaDarius Perkins.
The game will kickoff at 5 p.m. on Saturday as the centerpiece of Super Bulldog Weekend.
