'SEC ROAD TRIP' VISITS SUPER BULLDOG WEEKEND
Not only do we expect a large crowd of Bulldog supporters on campus this weekend, the Southeastern Conference Digital Network's 'SEC Road Trip' will take in our spring homecoming and report live from all the festivities.
The 'Road Trip' will feature a live blog, periodic SEC Twitter account updates, and photos on the league's Facebook page. The SEC's digital report will also provide exclusive pregame interviews with head baseball coach John Cohen and head football coach Dan Mullen.
We will also receive front-page exposure on the league's web site, SECSports.com.
It is the goal of the 'Road Trip' to give fans from around the rest of the Southeastern Conference an up-close and personal exposure to SBW through its various digital communication platforms.
The SEC Digital Network will be hosted by MSU alum and Bulldog Club member Jeff Jones. He will expose the 'Road Trip' to the history and tradition of SBW, now in its 25th year, as well as the atmosphere in the left field lounge at Dudy Noble Field.
Jeff and the SEC group will then journey to Davis Wade Stadium to witness the excitement of Bulldog football and see if we can reach our goal of 40,000 fans for the spring game.
If you happen to come into contact with the SEC Digital Network, welcome them to Starkville and Mississippi State for our big weekend of activities. We're glad to have them on our campus and appreciate the exposure.

BULLDOG FOOTBALL TRIO BRINGS PRAISE
As we have said many times in the past, we love to hear about the good things our student-athletes are doing. We recently received this note from former MSU student body president Blake Jeter:
"I wanted to pass along a story that is really amazing. I have been working with my fraternity Sigma Chi on Derby Days this week that benefits Catch a Dream Foundation. Catch A Dream Foundation is just like Make A Wish Foundation, but it allows terminally ill children to go on hunting, fishing, or outdoor trips. I am sure you have heard about it! Our fraternity raised money throughout the last month and will have our big event this morning at 10:30 in the Amphitheater. So, we brought two kids and their entire families to Starkville last night to spend time with them and present them money for their trips. Lindsey is 11 years old and Noah is 9 years old.
When we met Noah for dinner last night, he was wearing a #1 Chad Bumphis jersey. So, immediately we thought how great it would be to have Chad come by and sign his jersey and hang with him for a few minutes. Throughout dinner, Noah said a couple times that he would love to meet Chad. So, we contacted Chad without Noah knowing. After dinner, we all went to Bulldog Lanes to roll a few games and play in the arcade. Right before we bowled, Chad Bumphis, Fletcher Cox, and Brandon Heavens showed up. You should have seen Noah's face. Chad signed his jersey and talked to him for a little while. They all signed some shirts for them and hung out for a few minutes. There is no doubt that it made his night....
I know it only was a few minutes, but for Chad and them to come on a moment's notice on a Friday night to make a difference like that was something that I thought was an amazing testament to their character and what the program is all about. I just wanted to pass this story along because I thought you would appreciate it. Thank you for what you do.
Never prouder to be a Bulldog,
Blake"

BRADWAY, BRANDON TO GUEST COACH SPRING GAME
Brad Bradway and Steve Brandon have earned the honors of being guest coaches at our spring football game Saturday. The two long-time Mississippi State supporters earned the positions through an auction held by the Bulldog Club.
As guest coaches, Bradway and Brandon will participate in the player draft tomorrow morning, join the teams at practice tomorrow afternoon and make the tough decisions for their teams on Saturday.
The Maroon-White Spring Game will kick off Saturday at 5 p.m., and will be televised on tape delay by CSS. The first airing of the broadcast will be Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m., and subsequent rebroadcasts will be announced later. Those replays will include enhanced coverage, with interviews from players and coaches.

BRAMLETT NAMED ONE OF NATION'S BEST...AGAIN
Chelsea Bramlett has received so many honors during her collegiate career, sometimes it's hard to keep them straight. But this latest is again one she will always remember.
For the third-straight year Chelsea has been named one of 25 finalists for the USA Softball Player of the Year, an award that recognizes the nation's top Division I softball player.
She has batted over .500 most of this season, leads the SEC in runs scored and has an amazing 51 stolen bases in 51 chances. In fact, she has not been thrown out on the bases in more than a year.
Chelsea was earlier named one of 10 finalists for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award and was named to the U.S. National Team for a second-straight year.

HEY, WE KNOW THAT FACE!
Our freshman track and field standout Tavaris Tate of Starkville was one of six "Faces in the Crowd" that appeared in this week's issue of Sports Illustrated magazine. Our record-setting sprinter caught national attention a couple of weeks ago at the Alabama Relays, where he set a meet and school freshman record in the 400-meter dash (44.86), winning the event by nearly four seconds. He also ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 relay team to take medalist honors with a time of 3:07.49. Tate and the rest of his teammates are at Auburn this weekend for the War Eagle Invitational. Congratulations to Tavaris!
