Dogs Begin Final Week Of Spring With Toughest Workout; Mullen Chat Set For Thursday

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Head coach Dan Mullen said following Saturday's scrimmage that his team only had one week to prove itself heading into the summer offseason. On Tuesday, he put the team through its toughest work of the spring session.
Practice began with individual and group work, but moved quickly into 7-on-7 and full-team drills. Mullen noted that the defense won the day along the front, making it tough for the offense to get things going.
"We've got a few things we need to clean up on Thursday," Mullen said. "The defense really executed, and the offense didn't. And it all started up front."
The Bulldogs return to the practice fields on Thursday and Friday before taking to Davis Wade Stadium on Saturday at 5 p.m. for the Maroon-White Spring Game.
Prior to Thursday's practice, Coach Mullen will participate in a live online chat at 1 p.m. The third of a three part-series this spring that has featured defensive coordinator Manny Diaz and offensive coordinator Les Koenning, Mullen's chat will be held on the official MSU website - MStateAthletics.com.
