Rack Named All-Region Nominee For 2010 State Farm Coaches All-America Team
STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State senior guard Alexis Rack was one of seven named as a Region III honoree for the 2010 State Farm All-America Team announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association on Tuesday.
Already having earned All-Southeastern Conference honors by both coaches and the Associated Press, Rack has paced Mississippi State in scoring this season, averaging 17.1 points a game. The Franklin, La. native has averaged 3.2 three-point field goals a game which is tops in the conference and ranks fifth nationally. She also ranks third in the SEC in assists a game with 4.6 and is fifth in the league in steals, averaging 2.3 a contest.
The State Farm Coaches' All-America Team selection committee will review the 52 regional candidates and cut the list to 40 finalists on Tuesday, March 23. The 40 finalists will all be in the running for selection to the 10-member State Farm Coaches' All-America Team.
