Rack Named To AP All-SEC Second Team

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State senior guard Alexis Rack was honored by the Associated Press Tuesday as she was tabbed to the All-Southeastern Conference Second Team.
The All-SEC honor is the second this season for the Franklin, La., native as she was named to the Coaches All-SEC First Team prior to the SEC Tournament. The award also marks the second consecutive season Rack has been on the AP Second Team.
Rack continues to pace the Lady Bulldogs in scoring, averaging 17.1 points a game which ranks fourth in the SEC this season. Rack has averaged 3.2 three-point field goals a game which is tops in the conference and ranks fifth nationally. She also ranks third in the SEC in assists a game with 4.6 and is fifth in the league in steals, averaging 2.3 a contest.
Earlier this season, Rack became State's third-leading career scorer behind former MSU All-Americans LaToya Thomas and Tan White. Currently Rack has 1,692 career points and holds school career and single season records for 3-point field goals made and 3-point field goal attempts.
Rack and the rest of the Lady Bulldogs will depart Friday in preparation of their first-round game of the NCAA Tournament in Pittsburgh, Pa. State, the 7-seed in the Dayton Regional, will take on 10-seed Middle Tennessee Sunday at 1:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
