Lady Bulldog Netters Gear Up For Non-Conference Tilt Wednesday

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State's women's tennis team (8-4, 1-3 SEC) takes a break from conference action Wednesday, when it travels to Miami, Fla., to take on Florida Gulf Coast University (5-7). First serve is slated for 2 p.m. CT.
The Lady Bulldogs enter Wednesday's affair after a tough weekend in SEC play. MSU lost a pair of away matches to a strong LSU team last Friday, and 17th-ranked Arkansas on Sunday. It was State freshman Danielle Terpko who picked up the only win of the weekend with her triumph at the No. 6 court against LSU.
Meanwhile, Florida Gulf Coast faces the Lady Bulldogs after an impressive 6-1 triumph over Morehead State on Sunday. The Eagles are led in singles by Priscella Villemond, who has led the team to a 3-2 record in its last five matches.
Following the match with Florida Gulf Coast, MSU stays in Miami, Fla., for its final non-conference contest of the season against Florida International. Match time is scheduled for 10 a.m. CT Saturday morning.
