This will be the 24th time MSU has competed in the Seminole Intercollegiate and the Bulldogs fifth-straight appearance. Under seventh-year head coach Clay Homan's guidance, MSU has produced two top 5 finishes at the Seminole Intercollegiate.

In its prior event State finished in a tie for sixth among the 18-team field at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, for its fifth top 10 appearance of the season.
The Bulldogs are led by true freshman Robi Calvesbert who has been the MSU's leader in the previous three tournaments, which is a team-best for being State's top finisher..
