Three Seniors To Say Goodbye In MSU's Women's Tennis Home Closer

STARKVILLE, Miss. ? Seniors Martina Banikova, Elna de Villiers and Daniela Juskova will step on the courts at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre to compete in their final home match as Lady Bulldogs Sunday, when the Mississippi State women’s tennis team (9-8, 0-8 SEC) hosts LSU (13-7, 3-5 SEC) at 1 p.m. CT.
State enters the contest after a 4-0 home setback to #14 Arkansas Friday afternoon. LSU, ranked 16th, comes into the match with MSU after falling at Ole Miss 5-2 on Friday.
The three MSU seniors will be honored Sunday between doubles and singles competition for their hard work and dedication to the Lady Bulldog program for the last four seasons.
All three players have had numerous accomplishments during their careers. Each player has been named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll twice, while each has been an ITA Scholar Athlete at least once in their respective careers at MSU.
Mississippi State will conclude the 2009 regular season next Saturday, April 18, at Ole Miss. Match time is slated for 1 p.m. CT.
