Super Bulldog Weekend Pig Cooking Contest Plans Set

STARKVILLE, Miss. - The 22nd annual Super Bulldog Weekend Pig Cooking contest is set and will commence on Friday, April 17, as 2009 Super Bulldog Weekend presented by Regions Bank kicks off festivities.
This year's contest will begin at 8 a.m. CT Friday morning in the cooking area which will be located on the north side of McArthur Hall (intersection of Barr Avenue and Collegeview Street). Judging will begin at 9 a.m. CT Saturday morning and will once again include three categories: Whole Hog, Whole Pork Shoulder and Pork Ribs.
The entry deadline for this year's contest has recently been extended to Wednesday, April 8, at 5 p.m. CT. For more information, persons interested should consult the information packet/entry form or contact Bobby Tomlinson (662-325-7452).
The annual "Sampling of the Grill", provided by the Mississippi Pork Producers and Mississippi Farm Bureau, will be held from 10:30-12 p.m. Saturday. That sampling will also be located at McArthur Hall, on the southeast side.
