PORTLAND, Ore. ? Less than a week since winning the SEC Tournament for the third time in school history, Mississippi State is back in action at 3:45 p.m. CT on Thursday against Pac-10 champion Washington in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament at the Rose Center.
The 13th-seeded Bulldogs (23-12) enter the contest riding the momentum of a six-game winning streak and face a 4th-seeded Huskies squad (25-8) that’s won six of seven.
MSU is playing in its 10th NCAA Tournament and currently owns 11-9 mark. It’s the sixth appearance under head coach Rick Stansbury, who is 4-5 in the Big Dance.

The Mississippi State-Washington men's basketball first round game of the NCAA Tournament will air as the primary game on 15 regional affiliates. Areas near both Starkville and Seattle will see the game in its entirety. The CBS broadcast will also be available across the nation on CBS College Sports Network.
