SPRING FOOTBALL GAME TO BE TELEVISED BY CSS

We are excited to announce today that our spring football game, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, as part of Super Bulldog Weekend, will be televised live by Comcast Sports Southeast. The game will kick off at 5:30 p.m. CT. We will have more information regarding the CSS telecast as we move closer to SBW.

Following the spring football game, coach Mullen will embark upon the 2009 Road Dawgs Tour, taking him to 17 cities around the southeast. More information will come on that as well.

BULLDOG BASKETBALL TEAMS PLAY AT HOME

Head coach Sharon Fanning’s Lady Bulldog basketball team looks to win their 20th game of the 2008-09 season and improve their chance of making the NCAA Tournament tonight when they play host to South Carolina. We hope that you will be able to come out to the Hump and cheer on the Lady Bulldogs to victory. Game time is 7 p.m.

Head coach Rick Stansbury’s men’s team will be in action Saturday at 5 p.m. in the Hump. Auburn will provide the opposition.

We have a lot of athletic activities ongoing this weekend, including baseball and women’s tennis on Saturday as well. Please remember that reserved parking spaces will be held for men’s basketball that day, and that baseball parking passes will not be honored.

DISCOUNTED SEC TOURNAMENT TICKETS AVAILABLE

Our ticket office now has available specially discounted upper level tickets to the Southeastern Conference men’s basketball tournament in Tampa, Fla., for just $100. The 300-level tournament ticket booklets may be ordered online or purchased by phone (662-325-2600 or 1-888-GO-DAWGS).

TICKET ADVANCE FEE WAIVED FOR BASEBALL

Due to the number of games played during the baseball season, we have waived the $2 ticket internet transfer fee for the 2009 Diamond Dog season.

To transfer a ticket, log in to your Dog Tag account and click the “Mississippi State Ticket Office” menu, then “Ticket Advance.” Click on the magnifying glass adjacent to your 2009 Baseball Season ticket order and select the seat(s) for the game(s) you want to transfer. At the bottom of that page you will need to click the radio button for “I will pay any fees” then “Confirm Advance.” On the next page, you will be prompted to enter the recipient’s email address and a redemption code will be emailed to that person. They will then be able to print the ticket from their computer.
