Goldman Selected To GCAA All-Region Team

STARKVILLE, Miss. ? Mississippi State junior linkster Noah Goldman has been selected to the Golf Coaches Association of America PING All-Region team, which consists of the top 15 individuals in their region in the Individual Ranking System. Additionally any player ranked in the top 75 according to Golfstat or the Sagarin rankings not included in their region’s top 15 are added to their All-Region team. Members of the PING All-Region teams are eligible for PING All-American honors.
A native of Longwood, Fla., Goldman joins 21 other SEC golfers on the All-Region team, but also is the lone representative from the state of Mississippi. The junior is the stroke average leader for the Bulldog linksters, averaging 72.4 strokes per 18 holes, which is on pace to finish among the top 10 all-time single season stroke average in MSU history. The junior standout has set five career numbers this past season and has been MState’s top finisher a team-high six times in 12 tournaments played.
Goldman’s other honors this season include two first place tournament finishes at the Roadrunner Intercollegiate and Magnolia Cup, the Bulldog’s dual match with their in-state rival Mississippi. Goldman was also named SEC Golfer of the Week for the second time in his career for his performance at the Roadrunner Intercollegiate.
