FAQ

1. How can I register for camp?
The ideal option is to register online through the website, and pay via credit card. However, you may also print the camp brochure and required forms, then mail them in with your check.
2. Are spots still available in each camp session?
Yes. When a particular session reaches capacity, we will denote that on the website.
3. Can I pay for the camp via credit card?
Yes, if you utilize the Online Registration option via our website

4. When is the latest I can register for a particular camp?
While we will accept walk-ups to our camps (except Team Camps), we would prefer to have campers register at least two weeks prior to their camp session to assist us in planning and organizing the session.
5. What forms are required for my son to participate?
All campers must have the following forms completed and signed before they may participate ?

6. What are the parameters for the physical/physician’s statement?
Campers must provide a signed physical or physician’s statement that has been dated within the last 12 months.
7. Can my daughter choose her roommate?
Yes. There is a space on the camp form to denote a roommate request If she does not know anyone at the camp, we will pair her with another girl of the same age.
8. How many campers will be staying in each room?
Each room will hold 2 campers.
9. Can my daughter stay off-campus at a hotel or with family?
Yes. Parents may make outside arrangements for their child to stay with them in the hotel, or with local family members.
10. May campers drive their own cars onto campus to attend camp?
Yes, but their keys will be collected during Check-In and returned during Check-Out.
11. How are campers assigned to squads?
In an attempt to make the games as fair and competitive as possible, campers are assigned to squads based on both their age and positions played.
12. Is it possible for friends to be assigned to the same squad?
Yes, as long as they are of a similar age.
13. Who will be coaching my Daughter at camp?
Your daughter will learn from members of the MSU coaching staff, current and former MSU players, and additional college, junior college and high school coaches from around the country.
14. What is your coach-to-camper ratio?
In 2007, we averaged 5 campers for every 1 coach.
15. What type of supervision will there be in the dormitory?
Coach Smith along with current and former MSU athletes all stay in the dormitory
16. Will there be a medical staff at the camp?
Yes. There will be a member of our Athletic Training Staff at every camp station.
17. May parents observe all the activities during camp?
Yes. Parents are encouraged to go wherever their daughter goes, so long as it does not interfere with the instruction being given.
18. Does my daughter need to bring a water bottle?
No. Coolers of Gatorade and cups will be provided at each station throughout the summer. We will also have drinks for sale at night in the dormitory.
19. What will happen if it rains?
With indoor facilities like our softball indoor building, the Palmeiro Center and Shira Complex, we can conduct full camp sessions, despite inclement weather.
