Lambert Named To 2008 SEC Community Service Team

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Mississippi State senior golfer Jake Lambert has been named to the 2008 Southeastern Conference Men's Golf Community Service Team, as announced today by the league office in Birmingham, Ala.
The Jackson, Miss.-native is the MSU men's golf representative on the Student Athletes Advisory Committee (SAAC), which is equipped with one athlete from each varsity team at Mississippi State. They meet on issues regarding the student-athlete experience at MSU.
In addition to his off the course work, Lambert has been a contributor for the Bully linksters this year, playing in five tournaments with a stroke average of 76.3 strokes per 18 holes. Lambert also set a career-low for a single round, notching a 67 in the third round of the Gator Invitational back in early February. Lambert also helped the MState to their lone tournament victory of the year with a top 20 finish at the Roadrunner Intercollegiate, where the senior fired a 218 three-round score and tied for 11th overall.
Lambert is a senior majoring in general business administration.
