State To Play USM In Hattiesburg Monday Night In WNIT
STARKVILLE, Miss. ? After receiving their ninth postseason bid under Head Coach Sharon Fanning, the Mississippi State women's basketball team (16-14, 4-10 Southeastern Conference) will open play in the 2008 Women's National Invitation Tournament Monday evening at in-state rival Southern Miss. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
Southern Mississippi was a 67-57 winner over Arkansas-Little Rock Thursday evening in Hattiesburg in the WNIT's first round.

MSU and USM met earlier this season in Starkville, with the Lady Bulldogs taking a 77-56 victory at Humphrey Coliseum.
