Croom Happy With Spring Work On Tuesday

STARKVILLE, Miss. ? Head football coach Sylvester Croom saw a dramatic difference between his team’s effort on Monday and the work the group put in on Tuesday.
“We were better today. We got some work done,” Croom said. “Our intensity was better and we did some full-speed work.”
Under cloudy skies and blustering winds, the Bulldogs worked for two-and-one-half hours following the same practice schedule it has for most of the previous 10 spring workouts.
“We took the red jerseys off our two backup quarterbacks, Chris Relf and Tyson Lee, and got them some full-speed work today,” Croom said.
It wasn’t all good news from the head coach however, as he singled out the defense for a lack finishing tackles.
“We’re not tackling real well on defense,” he said. “I’m disappointed in that but we haven’t done a lot of full-speed work."
The Bulldog football team will take tomorrow off from practice before returning to the fields on Thursday afternoon.
