State's Farlow Earns ESPN The Magazine CoSIDA District Academic All-American Honor
STARKVILLE, Miss. ?€“ Mississippi State men's tennis player Ryan Farlow has been named to the ESPN The Magazine Cosida Academic All-American team announced Thursday. Farlow, a native of Madison, Miss., was named to the district VI second team.
Farlow has compiled a 3.94 cumulative GPA as a pre accounting major at MSU. Farlow was this year's MSU's men's tennis representative on the SEC Community Service Team. He was also selected as the men's tennis and overall male Newsom Award recipient which recognizes the top student-athletes at MSU.
On the court this past season, Farlow went 19-14 overall in singles playing primarily at the #4, #5, and #6 positions. Farlow's season was highlighted by a 5-2 record at #5 singles and a 4-1 mark at #6 singles. The sophomore also went 6-5 in Southeastern Conference play.
