MSU Football Team Honored For Graduation Rate

Mississippi State was one of just four Southeastern Conference schools to make the AFCA list. Alabama, Florida and Vanderbilt were the only other league schools to reach that percentile. It is the 12th time in the last 16 years that MSU has been recognized for graduating 70 percent or more of its football players.
Northwestern University and the University of Notre Dame will receive the AFCA's 2007 Academic Achievement Award, which is presented annually by the Touchdown Club of Memphis, after tying for the highest graduation rate.
The SEC's four schools tied for fourth among conferences in the graduation study, trailing the Atlantic Coast Conference, the Big 10 and the Mid-American Conference, which all had five.
