Bulldogs Return To Full Pads With 'Okay' Workout

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Mississippi State head football coach Sylvester Croom put his 2007 troops through a two-and-one-half hour practice on Tuesday afternoon as the team returned to full pads for the first time in 10 days following the university's spring break.
We came out a little sluggish today, Croom said. But we're getting better. It was an okay day. Not great, but okay.
Croom did single out several players for good effort during the team's 10th workout of the spring season. The head coached liked the efforts of tailback Anthony Dixon and wide receivers Lance Long and Brandon McRae on the offensive side as well as the work of defensive end Titus Brown and safties Derek Pegues and Keith Fitzhugh.
A lot of guys had good plays, Croom commented. But I don't see it on every play, and that's what we've got to have.
The Bulldogs will take Wednesday off before returning to the practice fields on Thursday.
