2025-26 Mississippi State Basketball Credential Request
To request media credentials for the upcoming Mississippi State men’s and women’s basketball season, please complete the appropriate fields and submit them online at the link below. Only credential requests completed through the online system will be honored.
Credential applications will close between 48-72 hours before tipoff of each game to allow Mississippi State's Athletic Communications office time to process requests, determine available space, and distribute parking passes and other essential game day materials as quickly as possible.
In most cases, media will receive a confirmation email no later than 48 hours after making their initial credential request. In limited cases, credential approval may not be determined until after the deadline has passed due to spacing.
Credential priority will be given to those media members who cover Mississippi State athletics on a regular basis.
Media members are strongly encouraged to resubmit their credential request and follow up with an email only if they DO NOT receive a confirmation email from Matt Dunaway (men) and Will Simmons (women) no later than 48 hours of the initial request.

The initial media credential deadline for State’s non-conference games from Nov. 3-Dec. 29, which also includes games in Tupelo (men), which is Thursday, October 30th at 5 p.m. CT. Future SEC single game credential requests and credential deadline dates will be communicated via email from Matt and Will in early December.
If you miss any deadline, we will accept credential requests up to 48 hours prior to tipoff. However, approval IS NOT guaranteed.
Credentials will not be mailed. Media can pick up credentials 90 minutes before tipoff at will call which is located inside the double glass doors NEXT TO the West Entrance/Premium glass doors.
Please be prepared to show valid ID upon picking up credentials. Acceptable photo IDs include: Driver's Licenses, Outlet-issued press pass and student/staff IDs. Also, please be prepared as all bags will be searched and tagged at media will call.
The clear bag policy DOES NOT apply to credentialed media, but please be mindful that your bags will be subject to being searched and tagged.

Please read the following media credential regulations. You must agree to adhere to the credential regulations in full before submitting your online application. All credential policies are subject to change, and final approval of all credentials is at the discretion of the Mississippi State’s Athletics Communications Office.
Mississippi State basketball media credential priority is given to media outlets that cover Mississippi State Athletics on an active, consistent and comprehensive basis. Authorized outlets are established and legitimate journalistic endeavors with a proven history of comprehensive coverage.
Strong consideration is also given to established national and regional print and electronic media outlets.
Credentials and working space for media members are issued at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Mississippi State Athletic Communications office.
Media outlets that cover the visiting school will be considered following consultation with that school's athletics communications/media relations department.
NEWSPAPERS
Preference will be given to those newspapers which cover all Mississippi State basketball games and attend a majority of the media session opportunities or cover the opposing team. Newspapers that cover all home games receive the next priority. Non-daily newspapers and newspapers that do not consistently attend Mississippi State's media availabilities WILL NOT have priority access to SEC contests especially on the men’s side.
TELEVISION
Priority will be given to those stations that cover all Mississippi State basketball games or the opposing team. Stations that cover all home games receive the next preference.
RADIO STATIONS
Credentials will be limited to national networks, the two originating team broadcasts, Mississippi State area stations and the opposing team's hometown stations. Credentials will be granted on a space-available basis. These stations must cover State Athletics or the visiting team regularly and year-round. Non-daily sports or news shows will NOT be granted credentials to SEC contests.
PHOTOGRAPHERS
Only photographers representing national wire services, national magazines and accredited in-state news sites or magazines or sites covering the opposing team will be considered for credentials. Only working photographers/videographers with professional-grade cameras will be allowed courtside. Those without proper equipment or who are not shooting the game will be escorted from the courtside area regardless of credentials.

- It must show intent to be a viable news organization, not a fan-centric site.
- The overwhelming majority of the content must be original news stories, not satirical/fan-related posts or re-posts of non-original news from other media outlets. This will be strictly used to approve credentials.
- Must be part of a national network (i.e., ESPN.com, CBSSports.com, SI.com, The Athletic, 247Sports.com, On3.com) or national media entity whose purpose is gathering news and disseminating it.
- Must consistently cover all of State’s media availability opportunities during game week and consistently cover State’s other sports OR must consistently cover the opposing team and be approved by the opposing team's media relations/communications staff.
- Must have an established record of meeting the above criteria, either by an individual or an organization.
