May 05, 2026 | Softball
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Taylor Troutman was selected to represent Mississippi State on the SEC Community Service Team, the league office announced Tuesday.
Â
Troutman's service has been centered around her goal of giving back to her community with a teaching career. She has served as a peer mentor in Mississippi State's ACCESS program through the Mississippi Institute on Disabilities and Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). The ACCESS program is dedicated to ensuring students with intellectual and developmental disabilities receive a quality postsecondary education through experiences in academics, career development and independent living.
Â
Additionally, she teaches preschoolers at the campus' Child Development Center for 20 hours each semester. Her dedication to the littlest ones carries over outside of the classroom as well. She serves in the preschool ministry at her church each week and serves on the leadership team for FCA in Starkville.
Â
No. 18 Mississippi State begins its SEC Tournament run on Tuesday at approximately 1 p.m. CT against Kentucky on SEC Network.
