Anderson, Hassan Close World Indoor Championships Run As Semifinalists

KUJAWY POMORZE, Poland – Former Mississippi State middle distance runners Navasky Anderson and Abdullahi Hassan concluded their World Indoor Championships debut as semifinalists in the 800m.
Both Anderson and Hassan raced in the first section of the men's 800m semifinal. Anderson crossed the line at 1:46.65, finishing third in the section. Hassan followed closely in 1:47.05 to finish sixth.
The former Bulldogs just missed the finals, with the first two racers earning automatic qualifying spots with no time qualifying bids available.
Anderson finished 13th in the field, with Hassan finishing 17th in their first World Indoor Championships. This marks the conclusion of the World Championships for the year, with the World Outdoor Championships to be held in Beijing, China, returning in 2027.
