March 14, 2026 | Track & Field
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Mississippi State thrower Roury McCloyen earned Second Team All-American honors at the NCAA Indoor Championships.
At his first indoor national championships, McCloyen earned an 11th-place finish in the men's shot put for Second Team honors. Just missing the finals, his third round throw of 19.07m was his best mark of the day.
He concludes his indoor season with several accolades, including two program records and Third Team All-SEC honors. This marks the junior's second All-American honor in the shot put, earning a Second Team nod at the 2024 NCAA Outdoor Championships in his freshman season.
McCloyen, along with the rest of the Bulldogs, will prepare for the outdoor season, beginning with the Alumni Bulldog Relays at the end of the month.
