Mississippi State Men’s Tennis Climbs in Latest ITA Rankings

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State men's tennis continued its rise on the national stage as the Bulldogs earned multiple improvements in the latest ITA rankings released Tuesday.
The Bulldogs moved up to No. 6 nationally in the team rankings, jumping one spot from the previous release. Mississippi State also placed four players in the ITA singles rankings and one doubles team among the nation's best.
Senior Petar Jovanovic led the way for the Bulldogs, surging to No. 6 in singles, a jump of seven spots from his previous No. 13 ranking. Jovanovic also paired with Benito Sanchez Martinez to earn a No. 6 national doubles ranking.
In singles action, Mario Martinez Serrano climbed to No. 33, up four spots from No. 37, while Sanchez Martinez made the largest leap rising nine positions to No. 45 from his previous No. 54 ranking. Bryan Hernandez Cortes rounded out singles ranked at No. 68.
The Bulldogs' strong showing reflects continued consistency and depth early in the spring season, as Mississippi State remains firmly positioned among the nation's elite programs.
