Mississippi State Ranks No. 10 in Latest ITA Poll

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State men's tennis checked in at No. 10 in the latest ITA Team Rankings, released Thursday, with multiple Bulldogs earning national recognition in singles and doubles.
Petar Jovanovic leads the way at No. 10 in the singles rankings, followed by Mario Martinez Serrano at No. 43, Benito Sanchez Martinez at No. 47 and Bryan Hernandez Cortes at No. 55. In doubles, the tandem of Jovanovic and Sanchez Martinez climbed to No. 4 nationally, while the pairing of Michal Novansky and Martinez Serrano entered the rankings for the first time this season at No. 47.
The Bulldogs faced three top-25 opponents last week at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. Mississippi State opened with a dominant win over SEC foe, No. 23 Florida. The Bulldogs then took on top-ranked Virginia, falling 4-1 despite clinching their second consecutive doubles point. Mississippi State closed its Indoor campaign with a thrilling 4-3 comeback win over No. 4 Stanford, rallying after trailing 3–0.
