
State Climbs Three Spots In Second Round Of Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Mississippi State women's golf was one of five teams to finish the second round of the Moon Golf Invitational under par, as they climbed into fourth place on the leaderboard with a round of 3-under par. The Bulldogs are 6-over as a team and are 10 strokes back entering the final day of action.

A pair of Bulldogs sit near the top of the individual leaderboard. Freshman Moa Stridh bounced back during the second day of action and shot her second career round in the 60s after firing off a 5-under day. She becomes just the 11th freshman in program history to record multiple rounds in the 60s in a single season.

Stridh took the second-largest jump of any player on the leaderboard after climbing 37 spots on the leaderboard. Stridh sits T3 at 2-under par entering the final day of action.

Izzy Pellot concluded the second round even par, marking her second consecutive par or better round and 36th par or better round of her career. Pellot stood alone at the top of the leaderboard at 3-under entering today's action but was jumped during the day. She'll enter the final day of action in second place, three strokes off the individual lead.
