TEAM NOTES
- Mississippi State wrapped up the first half of its SEC schedule with an 84-79 loss to Missouri on Saturday afternoon at Mizzou Arena.
- The Bulldogs fall to 11-11 overall and to 3-6 in SEC action.
- Missouri has won the last three meetings and four of the last five matchups over the Bulldogs. Overall, State still possesses a 14-9 all-time series advantage.
- The Tigers converted on six of their eight three-pointers during the opening 7:30 of the first half to build an early 24-14 edge.
- State fired back with a 12-1 spurt of its own over the next 3:44 of the contest to take a 26-25 advantage with 8:44 remaining. Jayden Epps and King Grace capped the run with consecutive treys 44 seconds apart for the Bulldogs. Â Â Â
- Missouri regained the momentum and grabbed a 42-35 edge heading into the locker room before the Tigers stretched out the spread to 16 points at 62-46 for their largest lead with 13:03 left. Â
- State chipped away and pulled as close as 74-71 at the 2:22 mark courtesy of a Josh Hubbard four-point play. He amassed 13 points as the Maroon and White outscored the Tigers by a 25-12 margin over the 10:41 span.
- Missouri would salt away the 5-point decision after going 10-of-12 at the charity stripe down the stretch.
- The Bulldogs fall to 11-6 this season and to 56-22 over the last four seasons under Coach Jans when scoring 70 or more points.
- State is 11-6 this season and 67-24 over the last four seasons under Coach Jans when shooting 40.0 percent or higher.
- The Bulldogs worked their way to a 38-36 rebounding edge. State drops to 8-4 this season and to 56-19 over the last four seasons under Coach Jans when outrebounding its opponent.
- State is 3-2 this season and 6-4 under Coach Jans when two players score at least 20+ points in the same game.
- Jayden Epps (23) and Josh Hubbard (22) combined for 32 of their 45 points during the second half to accomplish the feat together for the 4th time this season.
- State sank 28-of-65 from the floor (43.1 percent), hit on 11-of-28 from three-point territory (39.3 percent) and connected on a 12-of-18 clip at the free throw line (66.7 percent).
- The 11 triples for the Bulldogs tied a season-high and gave the Maroon and White consecutive games with 10 or more three's.
- State drops to 5-2 this season and to 17-8 over the last four seasons under Coach Jans when knocking down 10 or more three-pointers in a game.
- Conversely, Missouri recorded a 25-of-58 shooting effort (43.1 percent), made 9-of-26 on its three-pointers (34.6 percent) and tallied a 25-for-33 mark at the charity stripe (75.8 percent).
- A key for the Tigers outside the 25-12 advantage at the foul line was scoring 21 of the game's 29 points off turnovers.

Josh Hubbard
- Started his 72nd consecutive game over the past three seasons (01/27/2024-01/31/2026).
- Piled up 20 of his 22 points during the second half. Overall, he was 7-of-20 shooting, 4-of-12 from three-point territory and 4-of-6 from the charity stripe.
- Secured double figures for the 20th time this season, the 39th time over his last 41 outings (01/11/2025-01/31/2026) and the 83rd time in 91 career games.
- Produced 13 games of 20+ points this season and collected 23 of his 40 career games of 20+ points against SEC opponents.
- The junior guard now has 1697 career points and sits 142 points shy from passing Rickey Brown (1976-77-78-79) for 5th place on the program's all-time list.
- The 1697 points allowed Hubbard to move into 9th place on the SEC career scoring list for players during their junior season. He passed Dominique Wilkins (Georgia) during today's game and will enter the Arkansas game 88 points shy of eclipsing Vernon Maxwell (Florida).Â
- The 83 career games with 10+ points allowed Hubbard to tie Darryl Wilson (1994-95-96) for 8th place in the State record book.
- Extended his SEC record to 69 consecutive games (02/07/2024-01/31/2026) with at least one three-pointer.
