TEAM NOTES
- Mississippi State returned to the win column and led to wire-to-wire during an 80-66 victory over LSU on Wednesday evening at the Maravach Center.
- The Maroon and White have won their sixth straight decision over the Tigers under Coach Jans. All six wins for State have come by 10+ points against LSU.
- The Bulldogs connected on 17 of their first 27 shot attempts to build a 44-17 advantage during the game's first 17 minutes.
- State took a 44-21 lead into the locker room. The 23-point advantage was the largest halftime lead for the Bulldogs this season and also marked the second-largest spread against an SEC opponent under Coach Jans.Â
- The 14-point victory was State's 19th win over a SEC opponent by double-digit points under Coach Jans. It also marked the Bulldogs 4th largest road margin of victory versus a SEC opponent under Coach Jans.
