General Notes
- Mississippi State and Wake Forest met for the 2nd time in the series history with both meetings have been in bowl game. The previous meeting was in the 2011 Music City Bowl.
- The all-time series is tied, 1-1.
- Uniform Combo: Mississippi State wore a black helmet, black jersey and black pants. The helmet had the white Interlocking MSU logo on it.
- This was the first time ever that Mississippi State wore the interlocking logo on a black helmet.
- First time in program history that State has worn black uniforms more than once in a single season. State wore the all-black uniforms against Arizona State.
- 10th all-time game that Mississippi State has worn all black, first bowl game.

Brenen Thompson
- Had 4 receptions, which was the ninth time this season, having 3+ receptions.
- Surpassed the 1,000 receiving yard mark for the season with his second catch in the first quarter. Thompson becomes the fourth player in program history with a 1,000-yard receiving season, the first since Makai Polk in 2021 and the first player under Jeff Lebby.
- In the fourth quarter, Thompson set a Mississippi State single-season receiving yards record, passing Makai Polk with 1,054 yards
- This marked the fourth time this season that Thompson had 100+ receiving yards in the same game, and the 7th time overall that a wide receiver had 100+ yards.
Became the 12th player in MSU history to have 4+ 100+ yard receiving games in a single season, and the second under Lebby.
- Evans' four receptions in the game gave him 67 receptions this season, which is 7th most in a single season for the Bulldogs.
- Evans' had 100 all-purpose yards in the game which is the 5th time this season he had over 100 all-purpose yards.
Sanfrisco Magee
- Caught his first career touchdown in the fourth quarter on a 42-yard reception from Taylor ... Was also his first reception of the game.
- Had his first career reception for eight yards in the 4th quarter.
Defensive Team Notes
- State has recorded a sack in eleven of thirteen games this season.
- The Bulldawgs tallied an interception in the second quarter, making it the tenth game of the season with an interception.
- This was the seventh time this season an MSU player has recorded double digit tackles in a game.

- Ferrie now has 238 career points which is 4th place all-time, and 1st among kickers.
