TEAM NOTES
- Mississippi State and Ole Miss renewed its rivalry as the Rebels captured a 68-67 decision on Saturday evening at Humphrey Coliseum.
- For the third consecutive game, State raced out to an early advantage as the Bulldogs took a 22-11 advantage at the 9:24 mark on a Jamarion Davis-Fleming dunk courtesy of a Josh Hubbard assist.
- State carried a 30-27 lead into halftime before a back-and-forth second half featured seven ties and 13 lead changes.
- The Bulldogs are 7-2 this season and 56-9 over the last four seasons under Coach Jans when leading at the half.
- Ole Miss scored the last basket on a Patton Pinkins midrange jumper on the right baseline with 19 seconds remaining.
- State had a few chances down the stretch, but Josh Hubbard was unable to convert a driving layup in traffic during the closing seconds.
