Weed Leads After Two Rounds At Blessing Collegiate Invitational

JOHNSON, Ark. – Avery Weed extended a strong opening round to the second day of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational, as she holds the individual lead at 11-under. As a team, the Bulldogs sit in third place entering the final day.
Weed carded her second round in the 60s in as many days, as she finished the round at 4-under par, which moveD her total to 11-under. Her score tied the best 36-hole score in Blessings Collegiate Invitational history set by Brooke Matthews of Arkansas in 2020
Weed has now shot at least two or more rounds at par or better in six consecutive stroke play tournaments spanning back to the 2024-25 season. She has also carded 16 rounds in the 60s in her career, one shy of tying the third-most in a single career in program history. She enters the final round of action with a seven-stroke lead on Arkansas' Maria Jose Marin.
