
Weed Named Second Team All-SEC

STARKVILLE – Avery Weed was named Second Team All-SEC, the Southeastern Conference announced on Friday. This was Weed's second conference honor after being named to the All-Freshman team last season.

Weed has had a standout season for the Bulldogs. The sophomore collected two individual victories at The Ally and the Mason Rudolph Championship. In the opening round of The Ally, she tied an NCAA Record with the lowest round in relation to par (61, -11) with three eagles and five birdies.

Weed has led the Bulldogs throughout the duration of 2024-25, shooting a team-leading 71.67 on the season. She has carded 15 par or better rounds during the season, which also leads the Bulldog squad. In her short career, she has collected 10 rounds in the 60s, which is the fifth-most of any golfer in program history. Eight of those rounds in the 60s have come this season. Weed is 6-over par across the entire season.

The Bulldogs will return to action for the NCAA Gold Canyon Regional. The action is set to kick off on Monday, May 5Â at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club.
