Bulldogs Set Sights On SEC Tournament

Birmingham, Ala. – On Sunday afternoon, the Southeastern Conference announced each of the 16 seeds for the SEC Women's Tennis Tournament hosted this year by the Auburn Tigers.
The Chris Hooshyar led Mississippi State Bulldogs will be the 16th-seed and match up with ninth-seeded South Carolina on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The meeting marks the second time the two foes have faced off this season with South Carolina taking the first meeting in Starkville, 4-2.
Missouri (15), Arkansas (14), Alabama (13), Florida (12), Kentucky (11) and Ole Miss (10) will also be in action during the first round of the SEC Tournament.
Eight-seeded Texas has a first-round bye and will await the winner of Mississippi State and South Carolina on Thursday.
LSU (6), Tennessee (7) and Vanderbilt (5) each also receive a first-round bye and are in action Thursday. Top-seeded Texas A&M, second-seed Georgia, three-seed Oklahoma and fourth-seeded host Auburn are set to receive a double-bye and begin play on Friday.
