Ava Rath Chosen For SEC Community Service Team

STARKVILLE – On Thursday, the Southeastern Conference announced the 2025 SEC Women's Tennis Community Service Team, with sophomore Ava Rath being chosen to represent Mississippi State.
The Tuscaloosa native has shown a commitment to serving others. During the fall semester, she totaled seven and a half hours volunteering at the Montgomery Gardens Tailgating, Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Oktibbeha County Humane Society, Champions Fashion Show and Thanksgiving Food Drive. Rath logged nine hours during the 2024 spring semester at the MLK Day of Service, the Oktibbeha County Humane Society, Starkville Strong and a Food Drive.Â
On the court, Rath was a contributor to the team's best start in program history as she has two wins at the #6 position and clinched the match against Alcorn State.
