
Five Personal Bests Earned On Day Two

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State track and field closed out the second day of competition on their home turf, competing in the Alumni Bulldog Relays this weekend.
The day began on a high note, with Alexandra Inglis setting an outdoor personal best in the pole vault. The sound energy carried through the rest of the day, with the women earning three top-ten finishes in the discus. Reese Terza earned her first event win of her career in the 3000m, running 10:45.83 to lead the field by nearly a minute.
The day closed in the men's and women's 400m dash. Anje Nel, Jaitlyn Ware and Jessicka Woods all earned personal bests, improving their times from last outdoor season, and Madison Gardner made her collegiate outdoor debut in the event. The men closed out the action for day two in the 400m, with Alfonso Hale Jr. taking home the first event win for the men this weekend, with a new personal best. Cooper Rodgers followed closely behind, finishing fourth in his collegiate outdoor debut.
The meet will conclude tomorrow afternoon, with field events beginning with the women's javelin and track events with the women's 4x100m relay.
