Elevating The Experience: What’s New At Humphrey Coliseum in 2025-26
November 03, 2025 | Athletics, Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball
STARKVILLE – Another exciting season of Bulldog basketball is nearly here, and Mississippi State Athletics continues to ensure Humphrey Coliseum stands as one of the premier venues in all of college hoops.
This season, fans will have the opportunity to enjoy multiple gameday enhancements and celebratory events inside The Hump. Here's a peek at many of the things you can look forward to in the season ahead:
New Gameday Page & Wayfinding
A revamped gameday page (HailState.com/Gameday) will help redefine the gameday experience for basketball ticket holders by connecting them with everything needed to plan their campus visit in one centralized location. The site will feature interactive arena maps, seating charts, parking information and directions to concessions and retail locations, providing everything fans need for a seamless driveway-to-driveway experience.
New Seating Opportunities
Both the MSU and visiting team benches have moved to the east side of the floor this season, bringing a new look to the sideline setup and creating a host of premium seating opportunities. These include 10 courtside bench seats located directly between the scorer's table and each team bench, putting fans closer to the action than ever before. Meanwhile, on the west side of the floor, Mississippi State has expanded its courtside seating offerings, giving more fans the opportunity to enjoy Bulldog hoops with their own feet on the hardwood. Courtside loge tables located directly behind team benches and concourse countertop options above sections 102, 110, 112 and 120 have also been added.
Elevated Food & Beverage Experience
Many of the successful stops fans have enjoyed at Davis Wade Stadium this football season will now be available inside The Hump as well. These include:
- Junction Grille – Serving up traditional gameday favorites, Junction Grille is your go-to spot for the classic stadium experience such as the famous double-patty Hail State Burger.
- 1878 Smokehouse – Enjoy the taste of Southern tradition with savory smoked meats and classic gameday barbecue options including Pulled Pork Nachos and Smoked Pork Sandwiches.
- Bully's Pizza Co. – Fresh flatbread pizzas, a new addition to this year's gameday menu crafted for Bulldog fans looking for a new favorite bite.
Fans can also look forward to exciting new concessions offerings including Loaded Mac and Cheese Bites available at the 1878 Smokehouse located behind Section 108.
New Technology
From pregame all the way until the final horn, Bulldog fans will stay connected to the action like never before this season. Fans will enjoy an increase in in-venue cameras that will better capture all the action on the court. New videoboard features are set to maintain and elevate energy during timeouts, quarter and halftime breaks. When fans leave their seats, updated designs on concourse televisions will provide real-time scoring and statistics to make sure nothing is missed.
In-Venue Entertainment
Highly entertaining halftime acts will continue to be a staple of Bulldog gamedays this season. Several fan-favorites are already scheduled including Red Panda and the Frisbee Dogs. Additionally, fans will have multiple opportunities to take home free merchandise as the Mississippi State T-shirt cannon makes special appearances throughout the season.
Elevated Student Experience
MSU has been able to modify its student seating based on recent conference policy updates and feedback from student groups, campus leaders and other stakeholders. These changes include the following:
o Student seating is expanding in Sections 111 and 112. For years, many of these lower rows were reserved for working personnel or special guests. Now, more students will be closer to the action with a stronger connection between the floor and the student section.
o The band will relocate to a portion of Section 111, and student access will expand into Section 113. This allows more students to get closer to the sideline and helps create a louder and more unified student section.
o With team benches moving to the east side of the arena and SEC policy not allowing students to be located directly behind the visiting team bench, the previous "student pit" area – which rarely filled to capacity – has been changed in order to both make better use of that space while also expanding student access in higher-impact areas.
Students will also notice other components that elevate their experience inside The Hump. DJ Skip will be located in the middle of the student section, in section 111, to keep the energy flowing all game long. Student Dawg Dollar use will be expanded to include an additional concession stand. Additionally, to help create the best possible game-day atmosphere, a new Basketball Student Section Committee has been formed.
Defining Moments
Milestones will be honored and memorable celebrations will be held throughout the season. Mississippi State will commemorate 50 years of Humphrey Coliseum, which opened in December of 1975, with a season-long salute to honor the occasion. MSU will also celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the 1996 Final Four team. Team members and coaches from that team have been contacted with more information about the special recognition in their honor. If your contact information has changed or you haven't received information yet, please contact Meagan Hooshyar at mhooshyar@athletics.msstate.edu.
The excitement at The Hump will also go beyond Bulldog basketball. As previously announced, concerts are coming back to Humphrey Coliseum. To align with the 50-year anniversary of the opening of the venue, MSU has partnered with Peachtree Entertainment to feature a series of acts. Details and artists will be announced at a later date.
