General Notes

Mississippi State and Texas met for the 6th time, 2nd as SEC foes.

Texas leads the all-time series, 4-2.

When the game is played in Starkville, the series is tied, 1-1.

Uniform Combo: Mississippi State wore a Maroon helmet, Maroon jersey, and Gray pants. The helmet at the Interlocking MSU logo on it.

This was the second time this season that MSU wore Maroon, Maroon, Gray. The other game was Northern Illinois. State is 1-1 in this combo in 2025.

This is the first time the Bulldogs have worn the Maroon helmet with the Interlocking logo this season and just the second time since 2023 when State wore their 1998 throwback uniforms for homecoming against Kentucky.

This is the first time in program history that Mississippi State has worn the Maroon Interlocking MSU helmets with gray pants.

It was the first time since Will Rogers in 2022 that an MSU quarterback has thrown for 300+ yards in back-to-back games.

Anthony Evans III

With Evans' five receptions, he now has had at least four receptions in every game this season.

Brenen Thompson

Thompson had two touchdown receptions in this game, marking the second time this season that he hauled in 2+ touchdowns in the same game.

He is the first Bulldog to have multiple games with 2+ touchdowns in the same season since Caleb Ducking in 2022.

Davon Booth

Booth becomes the fourth Mississippi State player since 1995 to have 75+ rushing yards and 75+ receiving yards in the same game.

The first since Kylin Hill in 2019.

Sam West

West scored his first career receiving touchdown in the first quarter.

This is the first time the Bulldogs have had multiple players with two or more tackles for loss in a game since September 9th, 2023 versus Arizona.
