Bulldogs Set To Host Monday Night Softball, Play At Devon Park

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State softball has announced two modifications to its 2025 schedule and all game times for the season.
The No. 24/25 Bulldogs' first SEC series of the year against Auburn will shift from Friday-Sunday to Saturday-Monday and be played on March 8-10. It is the first time the MSU will play at home for one of the conference's Monday night spotlight games since hosting Arkansas in 2017. State won that series thanks to a 4-3 victory in Monday's rubber match. First pitch on Monday night is set for 7 p.m. CT
Additionally, No. 2/3 Oklahoma has announced that it will move its series opener with Mississippi State on April 18 to a neutral site. The Bulldogs and Sooners will now play in Oklahoma City at Devon Park, home of the Women's College World Series. That game is set for a 6:30 p.m. start.
The Bulldogs have played in Oklahoma City once before in their history. In 2017, they followed a trip to Oklahoma with a neutral site contest against UAB. Playing in the same park that was then known as ASA Hall of Fame Stadium, Mississippi State won 8-0 in six innings.

MSU opens the 2025 season next week at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. On Opening Day, Friday, Feb. 7, the Bulldogs are slated to face No. 13/10 Texas Tech at 4 p.m. and No. 7/8 Duke at 7 p.m. They will follow that with games against Bethune-Cookman at 2 p.m. and Penn State, which is ranked in two of the four national polls, at 5 p.m. on Saturday. State closes its time in Clearwater, Florida, with a noon first pitch on Sunday against No. 19/16 Nebraska.
