#StateToTheShow: Davidson Kicks Off Liga Mexicana Season

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State softball legend Mia Davidson began her Liga Mexicana de Softbol career in strong fashion this weekend. The former Bulldog's first weekend in Mexico saw her hit two home runs and deliver a game-winning three-run double before catching the first perfect game in league history.
In her debut for Diablos Rojos Femenil, Davidson scored three runs for her squad in a season-opening 8-3 victory. In just her second at-bat of the season, Davidson launched a two-run homer to put her team up 4-0, which marked the first homer of the season across all players in Liga Mexicana de Softbol.

Davidson wouldn't wait long to continue her hot start, contributing a bases-clearing three-run double as a part of a six-run sixth-inning rally that would prove decisive in a 15-12 victory. After dropping their third game of the season, Davidson and Diablos Rojos made history in their final game of the weekend. Davidson played a key role in catching the first perfect game in league history from fellow American Megan Faraimo.
