January 26, 2025 | Football
The potential to have a pair of Mississippi State players face off again in the Super Bowl remains a possibility as Chris Jones and Darius Slay both compete in conference championships on Sunday.
Slay's Philadelphia Eagles are set to square off against the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game at 2 p.m. on FOX. Jones and the Kansas City Chiefs are also at home for their AFC Championship showdown with the Buffalo Bills at 5:30 p.m. on CBS and Paramount+.
Slay and Jones were on opposing sides in Super Bowl LVII as the Chiefs edged the Eagles, 38-35.
Slay, a 12-year veteran and six-time Pro Bowler, has played in nine-career playoff games recording 35 tackles, seven pass defenses and one interception. He's having a productive postseason this year with nine stops, four passes defended and a pick.
