
Julia Lopez Ramirez Named to Fall ANNIKA Award Watch List

COLUMBUS, Ga. – For the third time in her illustrious career, The Haskins Foundation announced that Julia Lopez Ramirez was named to the ANNIKA Award Preseason Watch List.

Lopez Ramirez has provided stellar play throughout her four-year career as a Mississippi State Bulldog. In 33 career tournaments, Lopez Ramirez has finished in the top 10 on 24 different occasions, with 20 of them being in the top five. She was won a program-best 8 individual titles. Two of her eight individual tournament wins resulted in her being the fourth golfer in history to win back-to-back SEC Individual Championships.

Lopez Ramriez has been no stranger to the ANNIKA Award. On top of being named to the watch list three times in her career, she was named one of the three finalists for the award in 2023. On top of her appearing on this year's preseason watch list, she was also named a First Team Preseason All-American by Golf Week and Golf Channel.

Lopez Ramirez and the Bulldogs continue their fall season on September 20 when they head to Franklin, Tennessee to compete in the Mason Rudolph Championship.

About the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel:
Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award presented by Stifel is annually given to the top female Division 1 collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer and to match the Haskins Award presented by Stifel, which acknowledges the top male Division I collegiate golfer.
