Offensive Notes
- Davon Booth capped off an eight-play Mississippi State drive with a rushing touchdown late in the first quarter. This was his second touchdown of the season and eighth of his career.
- Blake Shapen ran in a three-yard touchdown to cap off a MSU two-minute drill at the end of the first half.
- Jordan Mosley caught a six-yard touchdown pass from Blake Shapen in the third quarter to cap a 13-play, 76-yard drive.
- Blake Shapen has thrown a touchdown pass in 15 straight games dating back to Nov. 19, 2022.
- State's touchdown drive in the third quarter was the longest scoring drive of the year by time at 6:43.
- Michael Van Buren Jr. completed his first pass as a Bulldog to Kelly Akharaiyi in the fourth quarter.
- Johnnie Daniels ran in a 10-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter, the touchdown was the first of his career.
- Kevin Coleman Jr. has caught a pass in 21 straight games. This is his third game this season with five or more receptions.Â
- Keyvone Lee ran for 52 yards, the most he has rushed for in a game as a Bulldog.
- Mario Craver set a new season-high in receiving yards (62) and receptions (3). His previous high for receiving yards was 54 yards against Eastern Kentucky and Toledo. Craver has caught a pass in all four career games he has played.
- Johnnie Daniels' 77 yards rushing are the most in a single game by an MSU player this season.
- Mario Craver led the team in receiving yards, the first time a freshman has led the team in receiving yards in a game since Creed Whittemore against Southeastern Louisiana on September 2, 2023.
Defensive Notes
- Isaac Smith led State in tackles for the fourth straight game. He joins former Bulldog Jett Johnson as the most recent to achieve that feat. Johnson most recently did it Sept. 9-30, 2023.
- Corey Ellington made his 2024 Mississippi State debut in the first quarter.
- Isaac Smith earned his first career forced fumble in the second quarter.Â
- Kelley Jones made his first career fumble recovery for the Bulldogs. It was State's second fumble recovery of the season and the second-straight game with a fumble recovery.
- Tanner Johnson and Corey Clark both made their first career tackle for loss.
- Kelley Jones, Nic Mitchell, and Ashun Shepphard set career highs in tackles.
Special Teams Notes
- Hayes Hammond has served as the team's long snapper in 30 straight games dating back to Nov. 25, 2021.
- Davon Booth returned a kickoff for 38 yards in the first quarter, this was the Bulldogs longest kick return of the season.
- Nick Barr-Mira had five punts vs. Florida, and only one returned. On the season, 12 of his 14 punts have been either downed inside the 20 or fair caught.
