
Ricketts Releases Fall Ball Schedule

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State softball will play seven exhibition games at Nusz Park this fall, including two Saturday doubleheaders.
For the second year in a row the fall slate begins with a game against Wallace State CC. The teams will play at 5 p.m. CT on Friday, Sept. 20 to kick off a busy first two weeks of the fall. The following Wednesday, Sept. 25, will see State host Northeast Mississippi CC at 6 p.m.
The first of two Saturday doubleheaders is scheduled for Sept. 28. The Bulldogs will host Shelton State CC at 3:30 p.m. before meeting Itawamba CC at 6 p.m. Shelton State and Itawamba will play each other before the MSU games at 1 p.m.
The Bulldogs hit the road for a neutral site contest on Saturday, Oct. 5. State will play Troy at 5 p.m. in Birmingham, Alabama.
After their lone road trip of the fall, the Bulldogs host their second doubleheader on Oct. 12. Following the same schedule as before, MSU will face Copiah-Lincoln CC at 3:30 p.m. and Northeast Alabama CC at 6 p.m. The visiting teams play each other first at 1 p.m.
To close the fall slate, MSU welcomes Northwest Mississippi CC at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18.
