Four Bulldogs Earn Academic All-District Honors, Logan Named Academic All-American Finalist

STARKVILLE – Mississippi State men's golf saw four student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large team on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs were represented by Hunter Logan, Garrett Endicott, Harrison Davis and Josep Serra. Davis and Logan were also named to the all-district team last year. Logan, who was tabbed a PING All-Region performer, was selected as a finalist for the CSC Academic All-America team and now advances to a national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.

Logan led the Bulldogs with a 71.06 stroke average this season, which ranked third in program history, and a career-high-tying 21 par or better rounds. He finished his career with 74 par or better rounds and 33 rounds in the 60s, both of which are second in program history. His 15 rounds in the 60s in 2023-24 came one shy of the program's single-season record set by Alex Rocha in 1999-00. In the classroom, the Steens, Mississippi, native posted a 3.62 GPA while pursuing his MBA. He completed his undergraduate degree in finance with a 3.55 GPA.

Endicott was an honorable mention All-American a year ago and followed that up with a solid sophomore campaign. He averaged 71.80 and shot 19 par or better rounds while playing in every team tournament. He recorded eight rounds in the 60s and a pair of top-10 finishes. The San Antonio, Texas, native is majoring in accounting with a 3.60 GPA.

Serra holds a 3.53 GPA as a rising senior majoring in accounting. He played in every team tournament and was one of three Bulldogs to post a stroke average below 72.00. He collected 18 par or better rounds, including seven rounds in the 60s.

Davis is a rising senior majoring in business administration and holds a career 3.66 GPA. He played in 11 of 12 team tournaments this year, posting a 72.93 stroke average and 12 par or better rounds, which was double his previous season high in his career. He also shot a career-low round this season and posted his best average against par in his career (+1.14).

With Logan advancing to the Academic All-America ballot, State will have a chance to claim its fourth Academic All-American in program history. All have come since 2021 with Ford Clegg winning the honor three years in a row. In his final season, Clegg was named the At-Large Academic All-American of the Year in 2023.

The Academic All-America program was created in 1952. The voting process was updated in the summer of 2022, raising the minimum GPA and athletic participation standards. Student-athletes must post a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 and have played 70 percent of team scoring events. Freshmen are not eligible, and each school is limited to five nominations.
