June 14, 2024 | Softball
MADISON, Ala. – Toyota Field, home of the Rocket City Trash Pandas, will host the Rocket City Softball Showcase in February 2025 featuring Mississippi State and three other SEC programs.
Â
The Bulldogs will compete in Huntsville on Feb. 20-23 next year, and tickets to the event are on sale now. In addition to State, Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss will represent the SEC and be joined by East Tennessee State, Jacksonville State, James Madison, Louisiana Tech, Miami (Ohio) and North Alabama.
Â
The partnership with the City of Madison, Rocket City Trash Pandas, Madison County Commission, Huntsville/Madison County Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Huntsville Sports Commission brings the national spotlight to Toyota Field with more than 16 games at the stadium.
Â
"A project like this only happens with everyone pulling together and we can't wait to see Toyota Field take on a new look for this event in February," said Garrett Fahrmann, general manager of the Rocket City Trash Pandas. "Our team is known for providing a fun and festive environment for Trash Pandas games and we will bring that same mindset to a great week of softball here at Toyota Field."
Â
The Trash Pandas are the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels. Toyota Field opened in 2020 and sits just off I-565 in Madison, Alabama.
Â
State's full schedule for the event will be announced at a later date. The Bulldogs are expected to play four games in the tournament.
