McCloyen, Sessom And Stringfellow Set to Compete at USATF U20 Championship

EUGENE, Ore. – Mississippi State track and field freshmen Roury McCloyen, Kyndall Sessom and Kennedy Stringfellow will compete at the 2024 USATF U20 Championship this week. The competition will be a two-day event held Wednesday through Thursday at Hayward Field in Eugene.
The event serves as the national championship for American Athletes aged 20 and under as well as the American national team selection for the IAAF World U20 Championships held in August of this year.
Stringfellow will kick off at 3:30 p.m. CT Wednesday in the men's long jump followed by McCloyen in the discus at 6:00 p.m. CT. Sessom will compete in the women's 100m semifinals beginning at 5:52 p.m. CT. The final for the 100m will be on the same day at 4:38 p.m. CT.
Thursday's events will y Stringfellow in the 200m semifinals at 6:35 p.m. CT. The finals for the 200m will begin at 4:16 p.m. CT. Events will conclude with McCloyen at 8:00 p.m. CT in the shot put followed
McCloyen will return to Eugene after placing 11th in the shot put and in the top 25 overall in the discus at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. He was the highest-finishing freshman in the shot put and the third-highest finishing freshman in the discus.
Sessom will return to Eugene after competing in the 4x100m relay at the NCAA Championships. The relay squad finished in the top 20 and as the school record holders.
